Transactional SMS terms
Erkan & Sullivan, P.C. may offer transactional SMS text messaging to prospective clients, current clients, and other authorized recipients who have provided prior express consent in connection with an inquiry, consultation, intake, or legal matter.
By providing your mobile phone number and opting in, you agree to receive transactional text messages from Erkan & Sullivan, P.C. related to your relationship with the firm. These messages may include, as applicable:
Consultation confirmations and reminders, including reminders sent approximately 24 hours and 1 hour before a scheduled appointment;
Zoom meeting links for scheduled video consultations;
Secure client portal links for document upload or client access;
Notifications that a fee agreement is ready for review or electronic signature;
Confirmations that a signed fee agreement has been received; and
Past-due invoice or payment reminder messages.
The firm does not use this SMS program to send marketing, advertising, or promotional messages.
Opt-in methods
You may opt in to receive transactional text messages from the firm by one or more of the following methods:
Checking a consent box on a website form, intake form, or scheduling form;
Providing verbal consent while scheduling or confirming a consultation by phone; or
Otherwise clearly consenting to receive transactional text communications in connection with your inquiry, consultation, or legal matter.
Consent to receive text messages is not required to submit a website inquiry, request a consultation, or retain legal services.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies depending on your interaction with the firm, your scheduled appointments, your document-upload activity, the status of your fee agreement, and your billing status. In many cases, you may receive up to 2 messages per scheduled consultation, but additional transactional messages may be sent if needed for your matter or account.
Opt-out and help
You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying stop to any text message from the firm. After you opt out, you will receive one final confirmation message and no further messages will be sent unless you later opt in again.
